Renee Fosberg has worked for nearly 20 years as a leader in the health care information systems industry. In her current role as Emerson Hospital’s Chief Information Officer, she provides direction to the health system’s strategy, policy and implementation of Information technology and telecommunication systems. Under her leadership, her team delivers a 24hr x 7days/week premium service level for support of Emerson’s digital imaging and biomedical systems, desktops, software, datacenter used by the clinicians and support staff. Emerson is renowned as a community hospital in Massachusetts that uses advanced technologies to enhance patient outcomes and care.
Among her team’s many accomplishments to-date is advancing the health system (including its three urgent care centers and medical offices) and its 75 affiliated physician offices to a highly reliable and secure Electronic Medical Records platform, designating Emerson as one of Healthcare’s Most Wired Hospitals through the American Hospital Association, and being named a HIMSS Stage 6 hospital since 2009. Renee has been featured in Becker’s Healthcare as a Top 100 CIOs to Know and she was featured in Health Management Technology as a Rising Star.
