EXPO.health COVID-19 Update

Update 05-19-2020

We are sad to inform you that we received news from the hotel and venue for the EXPO.health conference that they will not be opening in time to be able to hold the EXPO.health 2020 conference in Las Vegas.  We were excited to bring together the health IT community at this unique event where we could share best practices and insights.  However, after some discussion and given all of the challenges of the current environment, we’ve decided to cancel the 2020 edition of EXPO.health.

While it’s unfortunate that we won’t be able to meet face to face in Las Vegas, we’re still be doing our best to bring the health IT community together on our Healthcare IT Today website, the weekly #HITsm Twitter chats, and other virtual meetups.

Along with those things, we are looking to hold a number of virtual events from now through the end of the year.  Those events will include things like our popular unconferences.  Plus, we’ll be looking at more ways to be able to connect virtually with the community along with providing high quality education.  If you’d like to be kept informed of these virtual events, let us know on our contact us page and we’ll make sure we update you with those details.

Thank you to all of you in the EXPO.health community that are doing your best to provide great health IT solutions to your organizations amidst the pandemic.  We look forward to connecting with you virtually in 2020.

Update 04-14-2020

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely – especially as health authorities extend stay-at-home orders. Since our conference is scheduled for late September, we believe that is far enough away that the worst of the pandemic will be behind us. In fact, it might be the perfect time for the health IT community to come together and share best practices on how to navigate the path forward.

However, we are not taking anything for granted. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be keeping tabs on the availability of our hotel venue, company travel restrictions and government guidelines on gatherings of >50 people.

Our primary concern is the health and safety of attendees.

In light of the disruption, we have decided to extend the deadline for our Call-for-Speakers until May 31, 2020. You can still make a submission for a session here. We are, of course, adapting the agenda to include sessions that address the unique situation we all find ourselves in. If you have a session idea that is pandemic related, we encourage you to submit it!  If you’ve already submitted a session, feel free to submit a second if you feel you have something to share more relevant to the times.

We have also extended the Super Early Bird Pricing deadline to May 31, 2020. Take advantage of this amazing discount by registering today.
